Strong Passwords Need Entropy is entropy calculator, password's strength and survivability checker and a strong password generator. The program analyzes your password and displays statistics about its length, character frequency, symbols, lowercase+uppercase letters, and digits. Based on this information, it calculates the password entropy, or the number of trials needed to find it and the time to crack the password.

Note that this analysis doesn't take into account "dictionary attacks" or use of words. For example, "ambassadorconjure" is long but not necessarily hard for a computer to guess.

br3: I haven't seen one that evaluates passwords in batches. I'd reach out to the developer on that point.

This is an interesting application. Is there a way to run a list of passwords and get an output file of passwords and evaluations? If not here, can anyone recommend a portable app that does this?
