The utility displays up to 200 indicators, each showing data from a single system performance counter. Recent counter values can be also shown as graphs. The monitor also displays the most active processes in system in descending CPU activity order. System counter names and their last values are shown when hovering mouse cursor over the indicators.

Writes settings to: Application folder
License: Freeware
How to extract: Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch glint.exe.
What's new?
  • Added mouse tool tip to Active Processes indicator. The tool tip contains average CPU usage and amount of I/O data transfer for last 60 seconds (this interval is configurable)
  • Added option 'Show system task activity' into General Options settings dialog,
that adds system processes, including Glint itself, to Active Processes tool tip
  • Added option 'Activity tracking time' into General Options settings dialog,
that sets the activity time interval for Active Processes tool tip
  • Removed 'Brightness coefficient' option from General Options settings dialog.
The brightness of glinting lights is still configurable from the keyboard by Up and Down arrows
  • Fixed too frequent tool tip updates in Vista and Win7

I'm on Windows7 Home Premium.
I love 'glint' i can keep an eye on what program or routine is (a)using my CPU time, (b)what's possibly reading/writing to my hard drive and (c)lots of other things that i don't really understand but are probably very useful to someone.

Top Marks for this one.

I could not download the "exe" file. I got the Windows message that Glint stopped working. I'm using Windows Vista 64. Any suggestions? Thanks. Bob

I can barely see it and can't figure out what's what without squinting my eyes. Seem like there should be a bigger windows and a few more GUI options or similar.

Well, i don't think it's stealth but it shows in the task bar and the display window is definately on the screen.
I like it, i can keep an eye on my PC and see what application might be using the CPU time.
There's loads of options for the display, CPU Use, Network In/Out, Hard Drive Read/Write and loads that i don't understand.
All the people i recommended it to like it.
