A page of tips and tricks for use is available.

Writes settings to: Application folder
Stealth: ? Yes
Unicode support: Yes
License: Freeware (Donations Welcome)
How to extract: Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch SpaceSniffer.exe.
What's new?
  • Fixed binary export file format (Version 2). Now text elements are encoded in Base64 format to prevent special characters corruption. Version 1 files are still readable.

The screenshot is the silliest I've ever seen

This is actually one of the coolest programs I use. Saves time search to see what is hogging my hard drive.

The best in the category.

Thought it was goofy when I tried it, but it works really well, it's fast and even updates as you add/delete files. I found gigs of old stuff I had forgotten about and recovered the space, all in about 10 minutes.

I love the dynamic box sizing.

I wish there was on option to use the Overdisk type chart display ( ) instead of the WinDirStat box display. I find the concentric circles much easier to sort through.

Amazing program indeed. I also agree that it may be the best in this category. Clean easy to understand interface that you can master without reading the manual.

I like the program, but it can't scan selected folders: only whole drives. The start windows only give that possibility.
Scan folders is very important, because you don't need to scan all the whole drive, but the folders you need to scan.
I hope this will be fixed.

Not true, it can scan directories. The option is right there on the startup menu.

Select the 'Path' to scan if you don't want a whole drive.

I think i'll keep this one. WinDirStat is prettier but Spacesniffer is way faster and natively portable

Awesome application!

Until you try it you cannot really appreciate it... After all that applies to 99% of things in life ;)
