Excellent idea and great name. I can see this being perfect for people who have to use a lot of buggy software and need to kill or restart it quickly.

Uses 4.6 megs of RAM on my XP SP3 system.

Wishlist:
  • Would like to see an "Are You Sure?" prompt for Explorer.exe by default
  • Alternatively or in addition to the above item, a prompt list and blocklist (for programs that will prompt and programs that are just plain excluded)
  • CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+F4 to kill and then restart the process
  • Ability to run without window, meaning the only way to turn off the program is close it in task manager or restart. Edit: just launch with -hide or choose "Hide Tray" from the menu

Had a specific need for this a few days ago and did some additional testing. What I didn't expect was how NICE it felt to just smash a program. This program doesn't wait and it doesn't ask nicely. You press CTRL+ALT+F4 and the issue is instantly out of your way.

Note of course that some of those slow shut downs are good things while the program saves settings and cleans up temp files or other actions. *Killing* the process isn't always a good idea but it was certainly fun.

Just a note that DesktopOK has integrated this feature like this so if you like some of DesktopOK's other features or you're already using that program, you have that available.
