tabbyFile v1.4

#1 Post by brad »

tabbyFile v1.4 is now available for download. More info on the page.

some new features:
-changed program icon to a simplier icon that looks better when displayed as 16x16.
-drag and drop of tabs implemented
-"Full Paths On Tabs" setting in View/Display now
-Focus Filter, Explorer Drop Box and Cycle View hotkeys.
-Hotkeys in main menu now show what keys are assigned right in the menu
-Filter and Explorer Box don't move when resizing window horizontally anymore - explorer box will grow in width to show longer paths, useful for when Full Paths On Tabs setting is checked.
-AutoComplete in Explorer Box now sorts correctly (i.e. C:\ at top), and will add trailing slash (\) on applicable paths when Full Paths setting is checked.
-"flattened" gui for simple, cleaner look
further streamlined main menu.. all options are now located off the File Menu.
-new re-done drive free space, files in folder and selected items readouts
-open dos prompt also on status bar right-click menu now
-other changes/additions I can't really think of at the moment :)
-single click on tray icon when window is showing now minimizes tabbyFile[/url]

Thanks for the news, the entry has been updated accordingly.

I'd also like to add that I'm very grateful that you keep us updated. It's nice having the programmers of the apps we love involved with our little community. :)

Hi Fluff,

I don't know if you want to update tabbyFile v1.4 to the top of the page again with a new note, but I removed the "ask if you want to auto-update" functionality and updated the binaries on the website just now. I did not change the version number however.

thanks
brad

Great news, I always have tabbyFile open in a DM2 float icon but I can imagine how that constantly showing up at startup would annoy users. I'll change the description a bit to let users know about this small update. Thanks again!

[EDIT] Previous edit edited, possible edits to come in case edit needs editing.

Apparently I didn't actually update the files last night - well I did - but the pop-up was still there, lol. I don't know how that happened, just a file mix up I suppose! They are definitely updated now though, and do not have the pop-up anymore! You'll have to forgive me, i just returned from Vegas Friday, so I'm still not 100% :)
