Tested out Clipboard Saver by Stefan:

As the name implies, what makes this valuable is the activity you can run in the background on clipboard recordings including automatically saving text and/or images, automatic search and replace of copied text (useful for acronyms or other automation), as well as modifying copied images with cut to size and resize.

The clipboard management is simple, but slower than other clipboard managers because you have to open it up and double-click an item to re-add it to the clipboard. Ditto for example is a little faster here. It also has fewer features than other programs, opting for simplicity and some basic automation.

Happily it saves all files to the app folder, so it looks very portable. However, its sort of a specific case that would need this recorder over other tools.

TextImages - we have a few programs on the site that will already do this, but I mention this one both because the author has already made some other great titles and because it has a few more features than similar tools.

Uses: For creating quick text images for ready to paste titles, a quickie web captcha system, or a jump-start on your next image, this is a time saver.

Can alter margins and image size, but for everything will have a border around the image. Works well. Simple, easy, clean.

Output The odd/amazing part is that it will export to about 25 different formats including PSD, ICO, and various jpeg 2000 formats. Will name the file according to what you type in with a variety of intelligent output options, can optionally output multiple images every time you create a new line.

Looks portable. Saves no settings automatically and if you select "save current config as start config" it saves settings to the local folder.

Two years ago, I was trying to do some work with Dungeons and Dragons / Pathfinder and found two programs that really helped with coming up with worldcraft. One of them was a Stefan Trost program, so I decided to list them here on the off chance someone found them useful in the same way I did:

Generates new/unique-sounding words
WordCreator - http://www.sttmedia.com/wordcreator

Creates lots of names (whole towns and cities in fact): Box of Flumph
http://redblade.org/flumph/

Both appear to be portable but, given their very niche interest status, I didn't bother testing them extensively.

I tested out Image Converter and was fairly impressed. My preference for batch image conversions FastStone or XnView, but this is full freeware and -- unlike some of the other freeware Stefan put together -- very easy to understand.

I can see language researchers using this to try and find patterns in language, including unknown languages. What an interesting software.

Word Creator - http://www.sttmedia.com/wordcreator-screenshot - Apart from an interesting password generator program that works by creating normal-sounding words that don't appear in any dictionary, the only thing I could figure out here was just using the program to generate interesting sounding words to sort of trigger the creative mind.
I think someone picked up on your idea and ran with it: :)

Generate passwords you can actually remember with WordCreator

IMHO, above article does a pretty good job of detailing a method for generating easily remembered passwords, working for XP and up -- and mentions another good online tool for testing them, with explicit parameters, I hadn't heard about before: PasswordMeter (http://www.passwordmeter.com/).

Unfortunate update on Stefan Trost's software: it looks as if this author has changed his license away from freeware. It looks to be liteware for personal use only. I haven't checked all the programs on the site to make sure everything's not freeware so I'll go ahead and leaves this in submission thread for the moment, but it will likely get moved out in the near future.

Trost develops a lot of software and seems to generally be keeping up with them (as well as going cross-platform in some cases), so his work is definitely valuable. As a result, I did a quick check on the license:

* For commercial use there's no set price, you've got to contact the author.
* To use some of the programs unrestricted requires buying a license. The limited version allows only a set number of simultaneous files and/or actions, which I really didn't understand.
* Redistribution (which is important as a lot of sites we work on go offline) is allowed

Previously unmentioned Stefan Tools FileRenamer (https://www.sttmedia.com/filerenamer)§ has been given the Ghacks.net treatment and the overall outlook seems rather positive.

www.ghacks.net /2020/06/24/filerenamer-is-a-freeware-batch-file-renaming-tool-with-plenty-of-options/

FileRenamer is natively portable -- but if you want to avoid going through its "Settings" options, just place an empty 'start.frs' file in the program folder.

FileRenamer is multi-platform freeware; current version (note: apparently it's v20.2.24, but I had to download it to check it, as nowhere on the page I found mention of release date as version denominator) available from https://www.sttmedia.com/filerenamer-download.

§) Not to be confused with similarly named KuKnet FileRenamer (https://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=2939) or Webxpace File Renamer (viewtopic.php?t=21945).
