V10.60 RC3 is available! If no major bugs are found this might be the Final version.

In my opinion V10.60 is a new browser altogether and it's impressive how quickly they can create snapshots with bug fixes + new features.

I had a look at the Desktop Blog and decided the first post which was techinquely V10.60, was posted on Thursday 20th May 2010. So in 6 weeks a new Browser was created, thats pioneering. I would be happy if the Opera Desktop Team took a break, but let's face facts this is the Opera Desktop Team!

Totally off-topic: where does opera team gets revenue from? It is free software; it's not in top 3 browsers (market share)... I always wondered that.

As far as I & Rarst know, Opera is the only browser to have a native Ad Blocker included. Of course you can download a pre-custom urlfilter.ini over at Fanboy.co.nz, but you can also block content by right-clicking and activating the block content feature. Check out Rarst's tutorial on how to use it [here]

Check out the new Fraud Warning page - opera:fraud-warning

Check out the list of html5 demos. It's a shame that "Drag files directly into your browser" isn't supported yet, but Opera must have done this for a reason!

The deal here is Opera cares how we view the web!

I find it funny that a site promoting the use of HTML5 does not conform to the W3C HTML5 guidelines.

I know it's a lightweight browser but QTWeb has AdBlocker included.
Also doesn't SRWare Iron have AdBlock?

OK, didn't know about QTWeb. I know you can download a file called adblock.ini file and place in the SRWare Iron folder. But I don't know if you can edit them in the browser.

Does anyone have any new tips or tricks they would like to share, or website that discuss customising Opera?

I remember a while back we discussed about the User Javascript folder path. This one works for me now:

Code: Select all

profile\userjs\
Tested with Youtube enhancer.

When I used to use Opera this was the most useful link for me :)

Code: Select all

opera:config#URL%20Filter%20File
