Ubiquitous Player 0.999.3 beta
Ubiquitous Player is All-In-One multimedia player, image viewer, text editor and file manager.

It allows:
1) to watch video files
2) to listen to your mp3 and CD music
3) to view images
4) to edit your texts and use notes
5) to rename/copy/move/navigate your files (filemanager)
6) to use built-in web-browser
7) to manage your internet favorites
8 ) to play some games!
9) to do even more!

Ubiquitous Player supports (and partially supports) such types of files: BMP, ICO, WMG, EMG, JPEG, JPG, PNG, GIF, HTML, MHT, MPG, MPE, AVI, WMV, WMA, ASF, MP3, TXT, RTF, WAV, PPL and partially MOV and PDF (and some we forgot to mention).

It doesn't need installation and can be used from your USB, too!

download (~600 kb in ZIP format, 1.56mb extracted - single exe)

Well I thought I'd give this a try and it tries to hard to be everything. Feels like someone who is learning to program started making one type of program and then keeps adding bits on as they find bits of code for doing it around the net. The cover art in audio files is very pixelated when displayed. The video player just uses the system codecs so you might as well just use Windows Media Player.

Jack of all trades, master of none.

Thanks.

Just how was he expecting feedback? As far as I can see he only has a blog which has comments disabled anyway.

That's nice of him and how many times have you emailed the developer of something you use just to thank them? If he wanted feedback then he should of started a page on one of the social networking sites. But going off his final comment it sounds like he was creating the program for all the wrong reasons anyway.
