Driver Magician Lite

#1 Post by leejjcn » Tue Sep 02, 2008 12:19 am

Driver Magician Lite identifies all the hardware in the system, extracts their associated drivers from the hard disk and backs them up to a location of your choice. Then when you format and reinstall/upgrade your operating system, you can restore all the "saved" drivers just as if you had the original driver diskettes in your hands.

Driver Magician Lite can only backup your drivers. To restore them, you need the full version: http://www.drivermagician.com/Lite.htm.

you can restore them individually through the Device Manager. this is still a worthy app that lets you easily store all your drivers on a disk before you reformat your computer.

FYI, Gizmo's Freeware recently updated review of free driver backup utilities, with a favorable mention of Driver Magician Lite:
