Web results in Start menu

One of the more annoying and tedious recent Windows updates was web results showing up in the start menu. So you start typing "Dell" to open up the device audio manager and you get the latest "Delirious" album news. Complete with photos and news items that I couldn't possibly care about.
Programs that I normally lean on to clear out annoying distractions like this didn't seem to be working but this regedit trick fixed the problem:

Ghacks has a group policy suggestion from some years back but I haven't tested that:

Wow, thanks! The regedit hack worked wonderfully!
This is one of those hacks that makes so much sense after it's been pointed out to you. The start menu is so much quicker with less clutter now.

I tested both but they didn't work.
Tested in the Dutch version of Windows 11

I think
WPD includes settings to disable this, too.
At least I'm not getting any after using it -- as well as a couple of other debloating tools.
Oh, BTW, I also use
Open-Shell (
https://open-shell.github.io/Open-Shell-Menu/) -- so this is how my start menu looks on my new machine...

I thought so too and tested WPD, but it didn't seem to clear up the issue, though I may have an outdated version.

I've been avoiding tools like this for a bunch of reasons but this is awesome ...
Thanks

It's mainly that I take 1,000+ screenshots every year and I'm keen to avoid anything that makes Windows look non-standard. This always prompts people to ask where the screenshot was taken and then deal with the ensuing confusion. It's one of the reasons I love the Windows 10 Sandbox.
This one gets around the issue by putting the Windows start menu right inside the start menu:

FYI, that is also configurable via
Open-Shell "
Settings" (
Start menu right-click, for instance): while I make
Open-Shell Menu my default, Shift+Windows key or Shift+click will bring up Windows default menu...
