They've got a fairly solid image editor usable within a browser. There's a Windows version but if the program can be run in a browser and well, this could likely be made portable. It's very responsive, tabbed, and has a remarkable number of features. I wonder if this isn't the future of software.

The only negative (unfortunately a big one) is that images are saved to "PCD" format, which I couldn't get to open in FastStone Viewer, LibreOffice, XnView, or GIMP. Combined, those programs together cover 100s of graphics formats.

Some days ago I tested the Windows version of PencilSheep (0.100 Beta). It installed both x32 and x64 versions (in sub-folders within the main folder). The x64 one worked fine nut the x32 one produced a dll error message. The official web-site does not provide e-mail and forum, only a feedback web form so I reported the problem I encountered but without screen-shots. I never got any response from the developer. When I see such attitude I usually never come back.

A minute ago I discovered there was a new version of PencilSheep- 0.100.02 Beta, which resolves the problem I mentioned above- both x32 and x64 versions are running fine. The installer offers to install the program in AppData but the user is given an option to change the installation folder, which us OK for me. However again both the x32 and x64 versions are installed (bin32 and bin64 sub-folders inside PencilSheep folder) which for me is also OK.

It is a plus that PencilSheep is cross-platform but PCD being the only output format makes it useless for me.

The missing dll PencilSheep x32 was complaining about was wintab32.dll.

The web version of PencilSheep requires WebGL.
