ViPad (program launcher)

#1 Post by Midas » Thu Feb 04, 2016 6:42 am

ViPad is a modern looking program launcher, specially aimed at big resolutions and touch screens, and can also double as a dock á la MacOS.

Notably, it's not DotNET dependant and accepts new entries by simple drag and drop. Sadly, it's not natively portable, though necessary files can be easily (Uni)extracted.

ViPad saves settings to 'HKCU\Software\ViPad' and '%APPADATA%\ViPad'.
  • ViPad is a the ultimate Windows desktop application launch & organization tool for the windows desktop. You can organize all your windows desktop items in a second and have one click launch for all your favorite apps, games, links, files, social media friends, music and much more. Arrange apps and documents on ViPad in any way you like by dragging apps to different positions or by grouping similar apps into personalized tabs.

ViPad latest release (currently v2.0.17) can be downloaded from http://lee-soft.com/vipad/.

To use with yaP (http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... php?t=5698), after extraction place 'ViPad.exe', folders 'Plugins' and 'Resources' and any URL files inside the 'App' sub-folder; place the 'licence.key', the 'lnks' folder and any XML files inside the 'Data' sub-folder; and use the following as INI configuration for yaP:
  • Code: Select all

    ; configuration file for yaP v0.6.0.19 (http://rolandtoth.hu/yaP/)
    ; application name: ViPad
    ; version: v2.0.17
    ; website: http://lee-soft.com/vipad/

    [GENERAL]
    application = App\ViPad.exe

    ; commandline =
    ; workdir =

    [BEFORE]
    regkey = HKCU\Software\ViPad
    dir = %APPDATA%\ViPad :: Data
    +regvalue = HKCU\Software\ViPad :: Path :: {APPEXE}

    [...]
    [/size]
