The author designed it to be portable ie. uses short paths "../../folder/application.exe" and writes settings to the application folder

Looks like a slick little database/launcher. Will have to test in the coming days.

Old thread update: this program never went live (it's registerware) and softpedia is listing the last available version as released back in late 2015 (http://games.softpedia.com/get/Tools/LaunchBox.shtml). However, it should be noted that the forums are still active (https://forums.launchbox-app.com/) and it does advertise portability on the download page.

Topic update: apparently, LaunchBox development is ongoing, v10.0 released 2019-09-19 (changelog at forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/51594-launchbox-100-change-log/).
