SoftPerfect "
RAM Disk for Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8" (yew!) is another tentative forum submission for a under-represented category.
RAM Disk has 32 and 64 bits versions, which I haven't tested for portability, but given the fact that there are other 5 SoftPerfect entries already in the database, I'd say my chances are high...

Oh this would be an interesting product to test if it's portable. This is my main RAM disk application too ever since I got 16GB. I put all my browser cache directory onto it (Firefox, Opera, and Chrome) and works full well. Although it probably does not work well with non-admin accounts though.

Evidently no one here tested this application.
Tested: Not Portable
Creates an empty folder in user\all\SoftPerfect\RAMDiskWS and registry key located at user\current\software\SoftPerfect\RAMDiskWS. Not mention it tries to install a driver for monitoring RAM usage.

Thanks for testing, guinness. Shame too ... think this would have been really useful and some of SoftPerfect's other programs are portable.

version 4.0 SoftPerfect RAM Disk has become commercial (it costs
US $29.00):
- Product is no longer free for home users: licence fee applies.
- Fixed memory allocation in a specific NUMA node when requested.
