Free Digital Camera Enhancer 1.3

#1 Post by AlephX »

The Standalone version is 1.3, while plugin is 1.2
What is new in version 1.2

The size on the screen is smaller.

DCE 1.2 has now a rapid preview of the effect on the image.
When you are in preview mode (default) you can slide the controls and you see the result without waiting. When you are satisfied, just press OK (in XTR) or Save (in Stand Alone) and the settings will be rendered in the full image.
During the rendering, DCE writes which part of the enhancing process is doing.

The standalone (free) version saves settings to

Code: Select all

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Digienhanc\DigitalEnhance\Settings
but still works fine even on Win7.

Added to yaP examples.

Verdict: Not portable; writes settings to the registry

Although a few years old, this program still has some nice features. The program says it works best “if you have bad light condition (indoor, shadows etc..) and your image is somehow off” but I felt like it did a bit more than that.

Wishlist (if there's ever an update):

• Way to set it back to defaults after playing with the settings.
• Ability to increase the size of the window. Won’t increase past about 800x600
