A new portable version of Defraggler can be downloaded from http://www.defraggler.com/download/builds - it doesn't need Universal Extractor, just unpack the ZIP and start Defraggler.exe.

The database needs an update in "How to extract".

Bah, it still uses registry for storing some settings.

Yes, but I think that it is the same settings as when you extract the installer with Universal Extractor. If that is the case, the new portable no-install version must be regarded as equally "portable" as the installer.

I don't know if those registry settings is an indispensability. Maybe the author could be persuaded into excluding them?

But then ... do you ever defragment anything on another computer than your own?

Yes, definitely...when performing maintenance on another person's computer and using my USB stick as a portable software toolbox.

Silly me  In Sweden we have a phrase for it: "Tänkte inte på det..." But it would be totally incomprehensible if I even tried to translate it to English. It has to do with being thoughtless - so I have to be content with a "sorry".
