SpinZip
Re: SpinZip
I voted, but it's not stealth if you check for update.
Re: SpinZip
Curious ... why would someone want to split zip files in this way?

On a side note, all skwire's applications use DCUpdate file to check for new version. It leaves "application name".dcupdateredirect file in user\all\DonationCoder\DcUpdater\RedirectFiles

I get the 3rd option, but the other two?I am Baas wrote:http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/inde ... pic=6321.0webfork wrote:Curious ... why would someone want to split zip files in this way?
1st mode: Here's my best guess:
I get that it allows you to limit the size of the ZIP file you create, useful for avoiding exceeding the file size limit of your email service or flash drive. Some files will of course get skipped in this process. However, I gotta ask: which ones, I have no idea? Is it random? If there was some way to select only the latest few files, you could say this was great for admins who wanted to take some log files with them or whatever last few files you were working on, but there's no option for this.
2nd mode - Just no clue why someone would want this.
Re: SpinZip
My guess:
First option: You want to transfer files (e.g. fotos) from a big medium (hard disk) to a medium with limited size (CD). In this case you can specify the size of the CD and the application will transfer as many files as possible.
Second option: This can be used if you want to transfer a fixed number of files (e.g. fotos) to a medium. Let's say 5000 on each CD.
This is only my guess ... I haven't tried it out

That's a good guess. That could be it. I just wish I knew what was getting selected in the first option. Is it really random?Checker wrote:My guess:
