File Punter

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

FilePunter 1.0.4

[Moderator note: this post was a dupe of the one above it. The threads have since been merged.]

---

A file copy/move tool for automated transfer of different types of files from place to place on your system. Great for making a quick backup of files you've worked on or organizing files by type. Recursive (multi-directory) transfers are supported.

Wish there was a little more documentation on regular expressions, but the usual *.*, *.doc, *.xls, etc. all work fine.

Looks portable and stealth. Saves settings to config.ini

Presented by me at the forum. See :!:
... and already in the database. See

There is a space between "File" and "Punter". That's why your search didn't find it.

It was a similar situation with Skwire's application File Bucket >> http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... hp?p=42371

BTW: File Bucket is/was two times in the database:
1) FileBucket
2) File Bucket

- I deleted my 5 voting points of my version, to send it back to "Private". Hope it won't be voted again.
- I changed your version from "FileBucket" to "File Bucket"

The strange thing is, that if you enter "FileBucket" or "File Bucket" you will find "File Bucket".
But if you enter "File Bucket" you won't find "FileBucket"

-> So webfork should have found "File Punter"

Retested this today. Also useful for portable users and handling "My Documents" directories. For example, rather than search for the correct folder every time, you can save a picture to the C:\Users\[Name]\My Pictures folder and have it copy or move the files to your portable pictures folder.

Supports regular expressions for file patterns.
