By the latest hot fix you mean the Highlander Test Build (#251015) which I posted above? - I can't see that it exits slower.

I mean that ALL versions of PRP exit slower than they start, not that the hot fix one exits slower than the previous versions. This is not an issue report- just an observation.

Ah, ok. Are you using the app from a slow usb stick? On the exit PRP writes a new ini-file and frees all resources used.

No, I run it from my hard drive. What I wanted to say is that PRP doesn't exit as instantaneously as it starts and I suppose this is normal.

One can always do better.
Please try this exe:

Does it make the exit faster for you?

@Grisu
I did test the 'smaragdus' build of PRP
I can't be sure whether it exits faster or not but other thing occurred to me- my main computer usually works for weeks without restart and with time Windows becomes sluggish so perhaps the not immediate exit is not a PRP problem but a Windows problem. When I restart Windows I will check whether PRP exits faster on a freshly started Windows.
I have also spotted that 'X-Mode' has been renamed to ''Change Behavior of Window Buttons', it is OK but isn't it too long?

At first I wanted to keep "X-Mode" and "Highlander-Mode". But not everyone shares my sense of humor. So I'll stick with the more conservative translation.

@Grisu
Wouldn't just 'Close to Tray' be simpler, more obvious and more laconic?

@smaragdus: This option is a pain to describe in one phrase. But I'm sure people will get it.
Happy Halloween!
For all monsters out there: Build #311015 (Frankenstein) is up.

@Grisu
Hello monster,
Thanks for the new monstrous version- it is monstrously better (tray icon behaviour on multiple right-clicks is fine now and 'close to tray' is saved on exit when chosen). Many thanks!
What about adding an option to disable notification pop-ups?
Best regards

Nice to hear that it works. So I can concentrate on updating stations again.
Such an option is already in [x] "Disable Balloon Tips". You might have to restart PRP once, so the changes take effect.
