Could it be that there simply is a link to such a search somewhere (and people are clicking it from time to time)?Andrew Lee wrote:I just checked the web logs, and they are legit searches. Some characteristics I have discerned:
1) They are mostly from different IP addresses with no discernible pattern.
2) They have different web browser IDs, from AppleWebKit to Firefox Gecko.
3) They are mostly not clustered in time.
I'm not sure what we can do about them. Suggestions?

A google for the text didn't turn up anything obvious.Could it be that there simply is a link to such a search somewhere (and people are clicking it from time to time)?
Even assuming there's a link somewhere that links to this search, there's still no easy solution to this problem other than manual intervention at our end.

Re: <Weird unicode characters thread issue>
Actually, the current logic already does. But this led me to find out a quirk in the search logic that returned results for that particular search. That quirk was fixed, and the search no longer returned any results, so it should no longer appear in the popular search list.Do such queries return any results at all? If negative, then they're just channel noise that can be filtered out...
Thanks for the suggestion!
