Nonags offline

#1 Post by webfork » Mon Aug 07, 2017 7:29 pm

Just wanted to note that the excellent nonags dot com has been shut down (more info here) [thanks Andrew].

I liked that site and wanted to note again that we have a backup system in place both for Andrew and I. Barring something catastrophic, the site content isn't going to disappear.

1) AFAIK TPFC is not going down any time soon yet. :D

2) It's a real shame, and highlight the importance of having a backup in place.

Sad news. The once burgeoning freeware Web landscape is turning gradually barren. It's starting to look like that TPFC is now the designated pall bearer.

Same, never heard of it, I pretty much just check this site, MajorGeeks and to a lesser extent Neowin for all my software updating needs. Good to know this sites not going anywhere any time soon, it's by far one of the best I've ever seen.

I used it from time to time and some percentage of my work to clearly label program status has been inspired by that site.
