Azhagi+ (AzhagiPlus) Portable Freeware Submission

#1 Post by softv »

Dear members,

Wish you all a very very Happy Christmas Eve, Happy Christmas and Happy New Year. :)

Glad to be writing here for the first time, on this joyous day.

I am the author of Azhagi+ and Azhagi softwares and app (for Windows and Android). All about me here - http://azhagi.com/author.html#GodIsGreat - for those who are interested.

Azhagi is an established software, existing since 2000. Three (3) wikipedia pages exist on Azhagi. The English wikipedia page is at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azhagi_%28software%29

Well, just yesterday, I submitted details of the portable version of my unique application Azhagi+ at https://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=2860

I request all members to kindly please have a look at my submission and vote favorably so that Azhagi+ can attain 'public' status in portablefreeware.com at the earliest. I am sure the presence of Azhagi+ in a site like http://portablefreeware.com (which I esteem a lot) will increase its awareness and thus benefit many more of the society who are not yet aware of Azhagi+ (and/or its unique features) but very much in need of the same. So, kindly please give your positive votes.

Note: 'Azhagi' means a beautiful woman in Tamil language and I have christened my software as 'Azhagi' to honour the beautiful heart of my wife. 'Azhagi' is pronounced as explained at http://azhagi.com/azpm.html

Prayers and Kind regards
Viswanathan

The app itself is portable, so I voted for it.

Is there any way one can resize the window/font? It looks quite small on my 17" 1920x1080 laptop screen.

Welcome to TPFC and happy festive season :)

Thanks for the detailed write-up and entry. Joby says your program is portable so I voted as well.

Thanks for your feedback. Resizable Azhagi+ window is in my todo-list but haven't got time to work on it over the years. Also, no user request for the same arrived. So, did not concentrate on it. Now that you have mentioned about it, let me try and see whether I can get time to work on it. If I can get to see Azhagi+ window in a 17" 1920x1080 laptop screen, it will give me a better idea as to how to go about it. My laptop screen is 1366*768.

Kind regards.

Just a note that I have done a radical edit to the entry. I don't expect new users to learn and use our system at the outset, but I might do a write-up in the near future detailing the issues.

Joby, one of my users with a 20" 1600x900 laptop screen says that Azhagi+ window looks normal in his laptop. If anybody having 1920x1080 laptop screen gives feedback, I shall share the same here. Regards.

Warm Greetings!

The latest version of Azhagi+ is 10.45 U2A (Released in May-2021). This is a "major" update. The changelog (What's new?) is at https://azhagi.com/sbetas.html#azplus-updates.

Amongst very many changes, the most significant change is the ability to type in 100+ world languages now, availing the XML files offered by Alec McAllister (formerly of the University of Leeds and now retired). Thanks a TON to Alec for his XML files.

I request the forum moderators to edit the entry for Azhagi+ in portablefreeware.com suitably so that the above changes are reflected. Thanks in advance.

Note: The portable version of Azhagi+ 10.45 U2A is as usual available for download at https://portable.azhagi.com

Kind regards.
