A Windows desktop screenshot tool and uploader, supports Imgur, Gyazo, Puush, Dropbox and Google Drive.

Portability
Upon request the developer of LXtory- Luch, added an option to run LXtory in portable mode using a command line argument:

LXtory.exe --portable
Instructions
  • Download the executable (LXtory.exe).
  • Run it with this parameter- "LXtory.exe --portable".
  • Data and settings files (images.xml & LXtory.settings) will be saved in program folder, otherwise they are saved in AppData (C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Luch\LXtory).
Requirements
LXtory runs on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10.

License
LXtory is free and open source but the license is not specified.

Note
LXtory is in active development- the latest version (as of 2017-05-27)- 0.97, was released on 2017-05-25.
The executable (as of version 0.97) is small in size- less than 2 MB, but the program is relatively heavy on memory usage- it uses about 55 MB of RAM (on Windows 8 x64).

I do not like .NET but my aversion to Electron is stronger.

So in light of the fact that LXtory doesn't appear to be in development any longer, I wanted to note another actively developed, simple screenshot program that also doesn't have that dependency.

The main page is remarkably low on details so in a sense the Softpedia page is the real home.
