I have been waiting for Cue sheets support for almost four (4) years (I requested this on 2012.12.27 for the first time) and now I finally give up. The lack of support for Cue sheets makes this (and any other) player absolutely useless for me. By the way he best lossless audio format- OptimFROG
, is not yet supported either.
Now we know that every player without cue sheet support is useless to you.
What might be useful to you, might not be useful to others, and priorities differ greatly. Doesn't mean they're not working on it...
My post contains some information- I said basically 2 things:
- that I requested support for Cue sheets long time ago;
- that a player which does not support Cue sheets has no value for me;
I was not elaborating on what is or might be useful to others. I was referring to my needs only.
I use players which can play all the audio formats I have. If a player cannot play all the audio formats I have it has no value for me.
Does your post contain any information? I think it doesn't- it contains just some weasel wording.
You said "Now we know..."- how many are you?
Today I tested Resonic
version 0.8.5.1483 Beta
(portable edition) on Windows 8 and I do not think I will do that again- after more than 5 years of development for me the quality of Resonic
is still pre-Alpha- besides the exceptionally unhandy hamburger button (for example I have to click "Interface" drop-down menu time and again to select the preferred settings) Resonic
doesn't respect the chosen options- even though "Always close to tray" is marked "Close" button always exits the program and no matter that "Always minimize to tray" is selected Resonic
still appears in task bar. More- "Playback"->"Play immediately" cannot be deselected. Yet upon all these bugs and quirks there is a Pro
version which costs 69€
, for me this amazing.
