ClipLog/ClipFind update 2.0

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

vmars316 wrote:so I toned down the vomitPink color
One program that uses pink effectively and is SongBird for my Andriod; the pink jumps out clearly on a screen that is very small to respond to when I press something. For other programs, loud/bright colors (pink, red, yellow, etc.) don't have a usability advantage. Especially for a copy-paste tool that's generally working in the background, a subdued and non-distracting color would probably see higher adoption.

Agreed -- consolidating threads.

Thnx SYSTEM.

I have added the ability to EDIT the file displayed on the 'Hit Detail' screen .
Simply click on the [OpenFile4Editing] button and windows
will open the program associated with that file type .
Updated DOCs/images are viewable here:

Thanks

@ vmars316: I updated the screenshots at the database entry.
Because I didn't find any version number, I guess it's still v1.0.0 :?:

Hello Thanks ,
Actually, I am hoping that I could use this description:
clipLog/clipFind is a portable, uncomplicated, no-limits, openSource, Clipboard-based 'Information Manager'.
It runs in stealth mode, and pops-up a Topics-Button-Screen whenever a
'Cntrl+C' copy-text action occurs (from any program).
The user then clicks on a Topic-Button to save/file the copied text into
that category(Button name). One click does it all.
The user pre-assigns Topic-Button Names, such as: Contacts, Diary, HowTo, Passwords, Reminder, CodeSnippets, etc..
Button names can be changed at any time.
The 'ClipFind search engine' can Find any word or words since day one.
And present this information, sorted by both 'oldest date 1st' and 'newest date 1st'.
clipLog can SPEAK any/all copied text.

As is shown here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/cliplog-clipfind/

Thanks

However, if the purpose of the site is to solve problems by connecting developers and users, we achieve that goal with good descriptions. Entries that go ignored or unnoticed don't help anyone. I'm frustrated because, when I asked you about it with myFavs (and then referenced the same concern for pimClip) the answer was essentially "you should be able to figure it out from what I've already posted." If I can't understand it even on a basic level, I doubt very much that our visitors will.
Hi webfork ,
I am trying to get a proper Description for my clipLog/clipFind program.
https://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=2333
https://www.portablefreeware.com/forums ... =8&t=23342
In the quote above you suggested that I was expecting you folks to write a program description for me.

I am now having the opposite of that , where you folks won't allow me to write my own Description . Would you please use 'my description' as shown here , rather than TPFC description.
Thanks

EDIT: vmars: posting duplicate entries makes this a lot more confusing. Could you please delete one or the other? https://www.portablefreeware.com/forums ... 982#p85982

Sorry, I'm not sure where you got from that entry that I was going to write you a description. When I said "if I can't understand it on a basic level" I wasn't being hypothetical: I didn't understand the program. It is my desire to have the database as clear as possible, but I just lack the clarity to help on that. It's possible I'll come back to the topic in the future but right now I'm really overbooked on a long list of other efforts for the site.

There is no current restriction on you modifying the entry yourself.

Oh great, I did ask about that (above) !
Are there instructions somewhere on how to do it myself ?
Thanks
