Artweaver is now Portable?

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

Artweaver v0.4.9 (photoshop lite) is now Portable?

http://www.artweaver.de/index.php?id=62,211,0,0,1,0

"If the Artweaver program file (Artweaver.exe) is executed with the following command line parameters the portable mode is turned on:
/P: Artweaver stores all configuration data into the file Artweaver.ini which is located in the program folder. Additional the current user profile is stored too in the program folder under the Profile directory.
/PT: Artweaver stores all configuration data into the file Artweaver.ini which is located in the program folder. But the user profile is only stored temporarily and will always deleted after closing Artweaver."

er? "...executed with the following command line parameters..."
I don't understand. Can someone explain. please.

the easiest way:
you need to create text file with such lines:

Code: Select all

Artweaver.exe /P
and save them with *.bat extention it could be called portable_mode.bat , put this batch file near Artweaver.exe and if you want using Artweaver in portable mode you must run the created file "portable_mode.bat"

Yesterday I created Artweaver Portable, you can get it here
my portable Artweaver looks more attractive

sorry for my english i'm from Russia :)

/P

Tried the program itself with the /P extension and nothing was left in the registry and nothing was left on the C:\ drive (except windows prefetch). Great find.

Now I need to see if this can replace GIMP Portable... That will take a bit longer.

Artweaver 0.4.9.1

Artweaver 0.4.9.1 Portable

Just an update and a tip to circumvent the need to install...

Unpack it with Inno.
Copy all files inside {app} to a folder of your choice.
Create a text file called Artweaver.ini in the same folder with this content:

[Settings]
LangFilePath=Languages\Artweaver_en.lng

Remove ",1" from the filename of the following 6 files:

\Standard\Captured\Default Captured,1.cbr
\Standard\Custom Shapes\Default Custom Shapes,1.ash
\Standard\Gradients\Default Gradients,1.grd
\Standard\Nozzles\Default Nozzles,1.noz
\Standard\Papers\Default Papers,1.pap
\Standard\New Doc Sizes,1.txt

...and delete the extra (duplicate) ",2" of each file.

Launch via PortableArtweaver.exe

Works great, a nice lightweight PS alternative!

cheeers

If the basic innounp doesn't unpack it, check the innounp forums for a newer beta release.

Or use the best tool called UniExtract

Well, technically, if you're using UniExtract and you're unpacking an InnoSetup installer, you ARE using InnoUnp, since that's what UniExtract uses to unpack them.

New version 1.0 available!

Now it is needed to extract the installer with UniExtractor, rename {app} folder (remove other folders) and create a "Artweaver.ini" file with:
[Settings]
LangFilePath=Languages\Artweaver_en.lng
