Yes, so far it's x64 only .
And I use Chrome browser.
Thanks

I'll see if I can find someone (PB user) who can compile on x32 system :)

This is sort of covered in the FAQ but two issues I can see with this program in particular include the fact that it hasn't been tested for portability and the only tester so far found an error. For me personally, the site doesn't clearly state what the program does or what problem it solves.

myFavs Editor program keeps a collection of all your Internet Links (myFavs.txt), and creates a myFavs.html page of all these Links (see output example above) . All links are sorted and kept in a myFavs.txt file . myFavs.txtfile is sorted in this order : Dropdown menu/topic name[]Link description[]Link address[] ,
for example: aaMostUsed[]AlternativeToSoftware[]http://alternativeto.net/[] .
In short , myFavs program Edits this input file: myFavs.txt , and outputs this file: myFavs.html .

I tried this out with the included myFavs.txt. The HTML output is quite nice, certainly better than the plain HTML from Firefox or URLGather. I also like that it works with plain text input.

Two problems/concerns I encountered:
  • Links not working in Edge (page blinks quickly, then nothing). Firefox didn't have this issue - all links worked fine.
  • HTML looks different in Firefox. In Edge, it looks pretty much like your output screenshot.
A suggestion would be to add a button or similar to open the application folder (in Explorer). It'd be nice to have quick, direct access to the TXT/HTML files.

Yeah this isn't going to work in terms of summaries. You might want to try describing the program with questions like:

* Who would use this?
* How it would help them?
* What tools are out there for this? Why is this better than other options?
* What are the dependencies? For example, as this is a bookmark manager, does it interact with or require a browser?

Thanks webfork ,
Is this better ?:

myFavs is a small (121 kb) but powerful , easy to use , Bookmark Manager
for everyone , and provides easy access to favorite web sites .
It keeps a sorted text file of all links .
And outputs a sorted myFavs.Html page of dropdown
Menus by Category, Description, and Link Address .
myFavs has Editor buttons for: Add-Link, Build-Html, Delete-Link,
Find-Link, Help, Save-Links, View-HtmlPage .
The zip file contains 32bit and 64bit executables .
Simply download zip and install anywhere (ie., C:\myFavs ) .
myFavs has no dependencies ,
And runs on ALL browsers , win7 and up .

Appreciate all your efforts to make this freeware but in my opinion there are better alternatives.

How can I simply add a new bookmark? Do I have to edit a text file for this?
Can I choose in what browser to open a bookmark?
Can I add notes or apply tags to categorize bookmarks?
etc

Sorry, haven't tried myFavs :(

Hmm... ,
(1.)A rather brash statement for someone who hasn't even tried the program .
(2.)Enter the bookmark info , & click Add-Link .
(3.)Opens in default browser .
(4.)Yes .
(5.)Give it a try , or at least read the Help .
