WaveShop - audio editor

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

WaveShop - audio editor

#1 Post by Taf »

Hi,
I tested this new portable proggie, and it looks very promising ;)
So, I filled all data here:
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=2400

feel free to use them as You want! ;)
IMHO, this will be a very useful application, small, fast, easy to use.
Actually is quite "young" (in development), but works fine for me.

Cool. Thanks for pleading for a portable version, Taf.

Those keen on developing details, will find Chris Korda's (Waveshop author) write-ups engaging reading:
http://sourceforge.net/p/waveshop/discu ... 130a/#a560
http://waveshop.sourceforge.net/development.html

BTW, TPFC entry should read "launch WaveShop.exe", not "launch APPNAME.exe"...

SNIPPED
It was 90% natively portable, so I involved Chris Korda to release a 100% stealth proggie!
He was very helpful! I'm also in contact with him for future Italian translation. I love this app!

Looks nice! Thanks for posting this app!

Just briefly tested it. It needs a peak meter similar to Wavosaur and Sound Forge.
Otherwise, it's pretty good.
is it stealth? ;)

Yes, it would be better to create another topic in the Portable Freeware Update subforum next time.

Your suggestion was taken seriously, see image below:

WaveShop 1.0.03 features peak meters, and optionally displays channel names in the view (tip of the hat to Zak Hipp).

The meter bar fully supports surround audio, by giving each channel its own meter. If there are too many meters to fit, widen the bar, or horizontally scroll the meters. Note that the meters are only active while audio is playing, and only represent WaveShop's output, not your entire system's output. To show or hide the bar, use View/More Bars/Meter Bar.
