WinBoss let you hide running applications quickly so that other people will not notice of what you are doing recently. With a simple keyboard combination that you can set (by default it would be ctrl-x) the selected application will dissapear, including from the taskbar, Alt-Tab and the running application list in the Windows Task manager.

Stealth: No

Path portability: Yes

Unicode support: Unknown

License: Freeware for non-commercial use.

Notes:
1. Upon the first run, the application asks
Automatic update check will be activated.
Uncheck menu Help\Automatic update check to disable.
This feature needs internet connection where
no personal information will be sent out.
Continue the automatic update check?
If you choose Cancel, the check will not be performed.

2. WinBoss automatically adds an entry in your System StartUp. You can remove this entry by unchecking the "Run at startup" box in Settings.

3. The Keys that are added to the Registry contain the Hotkey settings. As long as you do not change them from the defaults, the application could be considered portable. Naturally, if you deviate from that, your Hotkeys will not "follow" along.

Regards,
Dan

I won't be adding it to the database. Not being able to personalize the hotkey of a boss-key app without impacting portability is quite a severe limitation. After all, the hotkey is quite central to the core functionality of a boss-key app.

Well, that certainly makes sense, since you put it that way! :)
