Hi (and welcome to PFC) LynBrandy :)

Just a thought: Maybe rather than creating new treads for each promotion you could simply join (and contribute to revive) an existing nice thread called "Software promotions" viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4804&hilit=giveaway

Beside keeping your useful periodical giveaways alerts "all under one roof" you might also keep better track of what is currently happening on that front.

Again, just a practical suggestion :mrgreen:

Could someone check one of these WinXDVD offers out and report back if they're actually giving information out? One of the other threads about this had some responses that were not encouraging. Edit: I guess whenever one of these offers comes around again.

It sounds like you're reading the last few posts as acceptance / endorsement, which is not the case. Software promotions like what Joby giveaway posts have been useful to forum users, which means they're very welcome. If they weren't or it turns out they aren't, I'll recommend their removal.
