Tested out Clipboard Saver by Stefan:

As the name implies, what makes this valuable is the activity you can run in the background on clipboard recordings including automatically saving text and/or images, automatic search and replace of copied text (useful for acronyms or other automation), as well as modifying copied images with cut to size and resize.

The clipboard management is simple, but slower than other clipboard managers because you have to open it up and double-click an item to re-add it to the clipboard. Ditto for example is a little faster here. It also has fewer features than other programs, opting for simplicity and some basic automation.

Happily it saves all files to the app folder, so it looks very portable. However, its sort of a specific case that would need this recorder over other tools.

TextImages - we have a few programs on the site that will already do this, but I mention this one both because the author has already made some other great titles and because it has a few more features than similar tools.

Uses: For creating quick text images for ready to paste titles, a quickie web captcha system, or a jump-start on your next image, this is a time saver.

Can alter margins and image size, but for everything will have a border around the image. Works well. Simple, easy, clean.

Output The odd/amazing part is that it will export to about 25 different formats including PSD, ICO, and various jpeg 2000 formats. Will name the file according to what you type in with a variety of intelligent output options, can optionally output multiple images every time you create a new line.

Looks portable. Saves no settings automatically and if you select "save current config as start config" it saves settings to the local folder.

Two years ago, I was trying to do some work with Dungeons and Dragons / Pathfinder and found two programs that really helped with coming up with worldcraft. One of them was a Stefan Trost program, so I decided to list them here on the off chance someone found them useful in the same way I did:

Generates new/unique-sounding words
WordCreator - http://www.sttmedia.com/wordcreator

Creates lots of names (whole towns and cities in fact): Box of Flumph
http://redblade.org/flumph/

Both appear to be portable but, given their very niche interest status, I didn't bother testing them extensively.

I tested out Image Converter and was fairly impressed. My preference for batch image conversions FastStone or XnView, but this is full freeware and -- unlike some of the other freeware Stefan put together -- very easy to understand.
