The contributor on that site suggested that it should be used in conjunction with PdgCntEditor.
I don't know if that program is portable. Perhaps you could comment.

Will convert all the files in a given folder with the ability to output to a single or pdfs-per-image. The included OCR program requires MS Office 2003/2007's Microsoft Office Document Imaging (MODI). I evidently don't have this installed so I couldn't test it.

Anyway, works great ... will definitely use this.
