Another positive article for opera :)
Let's see if the new version, combined with the recent facebook rumors, boost opera's userbase

PS. That -pd command was very useful. Thanks, guinness

So many flash-related bugs... bummer...

I use Youtube a lot and have HWA on. I experience failure to start the video, plugin wrapper crashes, Opera stops responding for long time etc. I'm sad...

Ah, I don't have HWA enabled, perhaps I should give it a try.

HWA is not very stable in this build, it's better to have it turned off

I'm liking the new throttle tab load on startup. Much better than before.

I had problems upgrading from v11 to v12 (extensions stopped working, javascript problems, the ol' last element hanging bug), so I had to start over with a fresh install of v12.

Update: I've upgraded Opera to v12 on three different computers and I've experienced the same last element hanging bug and it appears I'm not the only one. I think Opera rushed v12 out the door! :(

Opera V12.50 has been renamed to Opera V12.10 beta RC for the time being but is home to a host of new features that were present in the previous V12.50 snapshots.

Opera 12.10 beta has been released today.

I've decided the best approach to have one profile between two versions of Opera is using the -pd commandline switch, because I really want to give the OperaNext version a test drive and using my current profile. Normally I just download, extract and start using without copying my current profile across.

Example usage:
Code:
"C:\PortableSoft\Opera\opera.exe" -pd "C:\PortableSoft\OperaProfile\"

Code:
"C:\PortableSoft\OperaNext\opera.exe" -pd "C:\PortableSoft\OperaProfile\"

Be careful. Bugs in Opera Next might corrupt your profile.

I know, but I like to take risks once in a while.

Updated the Opera entry to include some of it's broad feature-set.

I also added it to the RSS and P2P (BitTorrent) categories.
