Plume Creator - novel-writing software

#1 Post by Midas »

Fairly new project (almost a year old, but already up to v0.47 Beta) for would be fiction writers out there (coded in c++, multiOS by way of Qt framework, so available for Windows as well as Linux and MacOS).
Plume Creator is a little program for writers in quest of a complete yet simple way of writing and organizing a fiction. It allows:
- fullscreen text editing
- chapters and scenes outlining
- note taking
- items/characters/places managing

Download: http://sourceforge.net/projects/plume-c ... files/0.4/

Download the installer (currently v0.47) and UniExtract; keep {app} folder and discard the rest... Plume is able to keep all his files in his pants... I mean, in the application folder but unfortunately, on Windows, it keeps all its settings in the system registry... ;)

Code: Select all

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PlumeSoft
EDIT: forgot to add that I posted a request for proper portability in Plume's "Discussion" topic @ http://sourceforge.net/p/plume-creator/ ... /14456c60/

I'm not into writing that much, but it seems nice & interesting. Thanks, Midas

Agreed. Will look into this. Posted something about portability under your comment on the site.

Plume has been updated to v0.63 -- still not natively portable. Check links above...
