But, yes, you are correct October 2009 held the previous official record
with 258 users on Friday October the 9th at 04:07

Since I'm a registered user (<<<< see there) I never saw a number of users online surpassing 220.
Perhaps the new record was caused by the unusual number of updated entries this friday (including a lot of games), that probably was an actractive for the users to stay online more than they are accustomed.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure that TPFC is still growing up. The increasing number of people with internet access and the increasing demand for portable applications is more than enough to assert it. And, of course, because TPFC is THE SITE for those who are looking for portable apps.
