THIS IS ONLY AN EXAMPLE !!!
Download the installer and unzip; copy the content of core to CometBirdPortable\Bin\CometBird. Put in CometBirdPortable\User\CometBird\Profiles\Default your preferred firefox profile; for example: FirefoxPortable\Data\profile.

This is the ini:
site: http://paste2.org/
sharecode: p/1521862

You have to merge the link to see the ini.

Rename the launcher CometBirdPortable.exe
Note that default paths are not the same of a paf.exe

Enjoy!

You could also use all the firefox based browsers with a (paf.)exe launcher; extract and rename the executable and the folder and put it in the App folder.

Excuse me, but I simply can't!

I have, again, no idea of what you're talking about!

You have to respect the structure of the paf.exe; so if you find a folder in App ( folder ) named, for example BROWSER you have to rename core folder to "BROWSER" and you have also to rename the main executable to browser.exe.
It's almost the same procedure explained in AdvOR\Tor-info\Firefox\readme.txt.
The first post is for the X-launcher; the second and this for the (paf).exe launcher.

As you can create another Data folder and rename the previous to Data1 for example, so you could do with the Browser folder ( and the executable ). I hope you can understand now.

zak_711 what joby_toss is referring to is with regards to lack of information you've provided, where would one download the original application you're trying to make portable? Is it this - http://www.cometbird.com/? How do you extract the installer? And that looks like a WinPenPack Wrapper not PAF Wrapper, which is where confusion can start. Are you submitting this application? I appreciate you're trying to make Portable Application but a little more background information is required :)

I don't wanna submit any application: it's only a trick for portability using the same launcher!

However it's better to use a launcher for every executable as it impacts on Data content ( or User App name ).

Zak: When you do this "share code" please just write out the URL instead of:

Thanks.

Ok.
You could check loading time of web pages of the two browsers ( Ff and CB ) with Fasterfox Lite 3.9.1 and allowing multiple istances ( f.e. AllowMultipleInstances=true in the .ini of the portable launcher ). If you are not interested in CB extension you could delete its own extensions and plugin in the app folder.
It seems to be faster than Ff, but not than PaleMoon.

As John Haller has already shown PaleMoon and other optimised Firefox forks are not noticeably better than Firefox it's self since Firefox 4 came out. I'm currently using Firefox 7a2 (Aurora) which introduces some nice memory optimisation which shows that Mozilla are listening to what it's users are saying.

Thanks.

In addition: if the objective is to disable the links, it's much easier to tick the "Do not automatically parse URLs" box below the textfield.

Just a test: http://paste2.org/p/1521862

My objective is not to disable the link, but is to avoid that somebody could complain about something that I do for my own and absolutely free without any aim to redistribute any bundle. In fact in the first case you have to use the universal laucher, and in the second the firefoxportable launcher(s) (as it isn't a copyright).
About the test of SYSTEM, I can open the link in a new page by selecting the text.
( TempleOne! Great tracks! )

I just discovered the ini of the Universal laucher developed by CB Team:
Site: http://paste2.org/
Sharecode: p/1523660

Before running the browser, take a look inside the "usual" folders !

Link provided by CB Team.

I hope you will enjoy!

More info on CB Forum.
( Not for english version ).

Well I've been through the CometBird site and don't see anything it offers that cannot be added to Firefox with an addon.

I agree with you; indeed my advice was for not english version of the browser ( due to some "little" bugs of other localizations, which I believe will be solved soon ); anyway, I test the loading page speed of the two browsers ( the content of "core" folder of the installer bundle ) with two different launcher and, on my opinion, the result was undeniable ( without the extensions of CB and its own plugin ). You can make yourself, as any other, your own conclusions.
