RedCrab V3.21 released.

Download .zip package @ http://www.redchillicrab.com/download/redcrab.zip

Launch RedCrab.exe, change the default option (write settings to registry) to save settings to a file in the RedCrab folder(RedCrab.con file)

@joby_toss

Are you satisfied with RedCrab's resolution? May I ask a moderator to move it to the portable submission forum?

Cheers.

It's portable now, yes! Thank you!

How do I disable the "auto check for updates" behavior?

Please move to the submission thread/

@joby_toss

Travelling at the moment. Will look into the "auto check for updates" issue when back home (end April).

Cheers.

guiness is not often wrong but I must say that his experience did not match mine.

I tried the latest version with the app on my hard drive. It wrote redcrab.con to the demo folder of the application.

Definitely one for the database!

OK, I read the ChangeLog and it said about the USB being detected and automatically saving to the application folder. I now tested the latest version and it appears that when you uncheck the "Save to Registry" it will create RedCrab.con and delete the pre-existing Registry Entries. I am pretty sure this wasn't when I tested a week ago.

Cheers JohnW for pointing this out to me.
