Ads causing problems

#1 Post by bugmenot »

Hi,
when i go to http://www.portablefreeware.com, Firefox runs a script for about 4 minutes (on a Pentium M with 1,73 GHz). During that period it's unresponsive. After that Firebug tells me that more than 4,000 JavaScript errors occured.

I use Firefox all the time and have never seen that problem on this site.

Have you tried reinstalling FF, or trying the English version instead?

Well ... it's back :( And I don't know why :P For now, I'll add the script to my Adblock filter list.

Hm, it seems the strict mode (enabled via about:config -> javascript.options.strict = true), or rather, the logging of the warnings causes the delay.
