DropIt
Re: DropIt
1. Thanks
2. No problem, I'll update it with the release of version 1.5..
3. We can consider it, eventually for the version 2.0...If possible keep it the same in your language for now..
+1. The official updated list is on web page, the help file is updated at each release..and grannyGeek (Edith) is the developer

Re: DropIt
No, i think that was all.Lupo73 wrote: if you think the same for other strings, report them
I'm not sure if i was misunderstood. i didn't mean to add support (of course that's an option too) but to *mention* it in the tips or help file, at least somewhere.I think we could add support to both ways,
Exactly.May be because it is the beginning of each sorting operation?
Re: DropIt
Very quick test of v1.5beta:
it takes quite some time until option-/ profiles-/ patterns-windows are getting closed after clicking ok-/ close-button.
*EDIT* Forget about it. That happened for a few minutes, but now everything ok. don't know why.
minor (really minor) german.lng change:
COMPRESS_COPY=Komprimiert kopieren
COMPRESS_MOVE=Komprimiert verschieben
COPY=Kopieren
LOG_DISABLED=Log-Datei ausgeschaltet
MANAGE_EDIT_MSGBOX_9=Wähle, wie die Dateien bearbeitet werden sollen, die zur Schablone passen.

I don't know why either because I haven't experienced this as of yet!Very quick test of v1.5beta:

Re: DropIt
After some light testing of v1.5 beta, let me say
Well Done! I'm liking what you guys have done with DropIt.
Always-on-top at startup bug is gone
Reset image icon in new profile bug is gone
thumbs-up!
My crazy white-cursor blinking-tooltip behavior is still there.
In XP SP3 (tested on three machines), if I assign the WHITE large or extra-large cursors, the tooltips for the text-input fields in Patterns Editor dialog blink on and off every half-second. I think it is a MS API bug. This does not happen in Vista. Definitely not the fault of DropIt. Does anybody else see this behavior?
Not a bug, a behavior (low priority!)
If About dialog is open, right-click target image for context menu,
Nothing happens === of course not, About is still open.
Feature request:
Maybe consider to auto-close About if target image is left-clicked or right-clicked. Us folks who keep lots of windows open, lose track of windows, and might forget the About is there, and think the DropIt context menu is broken.
Well (blush) how do you think I got the idea for the feature request?
I ***REALLY LIKE*** the new patterns editor.
It is very good to be able to assign the Transfer Mode to each pattern instead of globally.
I also like the new drop-down to choose a profile so you can edit its patterns. Its lovely to be able to edit patterns without having to first activate the owning profile.
Of course, that gave me an idea for a feature request!
Would it be possible to select a pattern in the main Manage Patterns window, and assign it to a different profile? Either copy it or move it into a profile…. That would be cool…. But probably lots of coding work, and editing the INI file only takes thirty seconds.
I ***LOVE*** the option to use the Profile Icon in the tray. Makes it obvious what profile is in use. And it is very nice to have the icons in the main Customize Profiles dialog.
See, you gave me another feature request idea --- could the context menu show the icons as well? (I don't know if AutoIt can do that, and if it can, I don't know if it is worth the time and work to get it done)
Encrypted Profiles ??? I personally don't have a need for that. If a thief gets my drive, the profile has my file paths. But if he has the drive, he can dig through the file paths anyway, with a lot less work than opening INI files.
Now, if somebody is silly enough to name their folder something like D:\Bank Accounts\Chase Manhattan\Acct123456…...
And then not encrypt that folder with the data…..
Well, I have to go update some help files now.

Re: DropIt
I think I've found a bug. When I delete a rule, it returns! See the screencast here:
http://www.pixhost.org/show/2019/5562021_untitled.gif
And a small issue: when clicking on New profile, the 'Name' field should be active - like in the pattern editor. Also when editing a profile, the uppermost editor window should be focused (which is not the case here). In the pattern editor these issues are not present.

Re: DropIt
Thanks! Interesting that no1 noticed this before because it should come up at regular usage.
Re: DropIt
Well,it depends, for old users who are happy with their setup they wouldn't know.
Re: DropIt
Good
An user reported me that Kaspersky detect DropIt as dangerous: it is a false positive, probably because of a 7z component compressed with UPX. Can someone that use this antivirus check the issue? Eventually you could help us reporting the false positive to the antivirus company, to verify it. Thanks!

Re: DropIt
Thanks joby_toss for taking the time in doing this! Of course if people are worried they can look at the Source Code and Compile it themselves
