Comments RSS feeds

#1 Post by Andrew Lee »

The comments RSS feeds have been implemented!

The recent comments RSS feed is found at the "Recent comments" box.

You can also track the comments for specific database entries. The RSS feed for that is found in the "Posted comments" section for each entry.

The RSS feeds are updated in the background, so in the worst case, there could be a delay of up to 5 mins between posting a comment and the comment appearing in the feed.

Good news and good way for developers to keep an eye on the reception of their software.

Excellent, just a quick question was there a reason the RSS Feed Icon for the Forums was moved?

Plus, now I know why I don't read the comments that often :D

@guinness: Ah, I forgot to mention I moved the forum RSS feed icon to the "Recent forum posts" table on the right.

No I realise that, but I preferred it at the top as I didn't have to scroll half way down. Wondering why the change?

@guinness: Since the comments feed is at the "Recent comments" box, it seems logical for the forums feed to do the same. Since setting the feed should be a one-time affair, scrolling down half way shouldn't be a problem, right?

You're right, but when I start to get RSI I will know who to blame  (Really, I don't mind anymore!)

This is good news, but rss for each topic would be much better.
