Well, looks like there is a new version of color cop:

Looks like settings are now written to the Application Data directory for the user

By incredible coincidence I noticed this and have contacted the author of the software. He seems to be fairly keen to make a change to offer the user the choice of where to save the data.

I'm waiting for his 2nd reply to see what he makes of my suggestions. I'll keep you posted!!

That's a nice app - very handy.

Colorzilla is more convenient for grabbing browser colors in Forefox.
