Hello All,

As the code posted by MrFan, this connection is created by the Advertisement built in Reader. It's safe, and it only checks the Foxit ad server to see if there any update available.

I don't blame them, but it will stop me keep using it! I'd rather use AdobeReaderLight.

AdobeReaderLight is the wrong name for a program that still weighs in at 16MB.

Here's another nimble PDF Reader (less than 4MB as downloaded for the freeware version). It is portable if you extract the files. It does have some nice added features as shown in this review.

The installer is less than 4MB but the pdfreader.exe + application files is well over 10MB. Also, it writes to the registry @

Pitty the freeware bversion doesn't allow for saving. Nice find nevertheless.

You're right, but altogether it's about the same size as Foxit.

But you can get around this. When you make changes to a pdf you can't save them, but you can print them. Instead of sending it to a regular printer driver, send it to a PDF printer driver, like Bullzip, and you have your new and saved pdf file.

I guess you didn't extract it. It's well over 40mb! :)

No I didn't even bother. For a PDF reader, what does it have that others don't? (I have no intention of downloading.)

I guess it complies with every (Adobe) pdf standard?
