AeroSnap

#1 Post by treis »

AquaSnap greatly enhances the way you can arrange windows on your Desktop. It gives you the possibility to snap windows to the edges or to the corners of the desktop simply by dragging and dropping them where you want.

AquaSnap is a great replacement for the Aero Snap and Aero Shake features of Windows 7 and is compatible with every Windows versions.

Install as normal, copy folder from program files uninstall to make portable. Not sure if stealth.

Nevermind that the thread-creators post sounds like an advertisement, from the description i dont see what this app does, that Pitaschio hasn't done for years, and then some.

For those who like the Snap and Shake features in Windows 7, but can't afford buying Windows 7 or have recently downgraded from Windows 7 RC 1,then AquaSnap is an ideal alternative. It adds these features with little fuss and use less than 1MB of RAM.

Right now it writes to the Registry, but the developer has add a Most wanted feature for AquaSnap, one of which is a Portable Version. So for those who like the Installed Version, but would rather it was Portable, go over and vote now!

I'm using this program now for a few days and it performs flawlessly and uses hardly no memory.
It's so good I didn't let that single reg entry bother me, but glad to hear 'Portable' is on the 'Most Wanted' list.
Going to vote now!

Two other alternatives (not portable as far as I am aware though) are Acer Gridvista and Power Resizer. In both instances I have linked to the reviews of them on the Freeware Genius website since their own websites are not as clear.

Thanks to everyone that replied out here & help getting the word out. I found this on Life Hacker one day while I was at work. I quickly created a post and copied the info from Life Hacker. I have been a long time user of TPFC. I love the site & want to contribute in any way I can. This would be great if they made a portable version. I like the program and I too voted for the portable version. Thanks once again!
