Do You Like CCleaner, Defraggler And Recuva Then...

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

Guiness, you got there before I did ;)
I'm using it and like it
It loads faster than PCWizard (which is what I have been using for System INFO ID)

Not Stealth, it saves windows position keys to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Piriform\Speccy], even putting the empty 'portable.dat' file does nothing!

I dont get it,when I first read this post in November I downloaded it and it worked fine.
But I recently added a "Piriform" software package to my Nirsoft Launcher
and the program doesnt work anymore. It just opens and then closes very quickly.

So I tried it in a folder by itself (with a newly downloaded zip file) and still the same behaviour, this sucks I really like this program.
Is the release version still the same as from the post in November?

Edit: Yup same version number.
It also generates a file when it closes: Speccy.exe_6-1-2010_23-15-14.dmp
When I open it its just a bunch of encrypted text.
Is there a way to read the .dmp file?
Does anyone know what its for?

Still! Shame that the Portable.dat file has no affect on writing settings to an ini file.

V1.00.108 is available!
The beta version of our new tool Speccy has been updated to include the following features:
Added text highlighting and copying.
.Speccy files now contain a checksum.
Improved filtering of duplicate peripherals.
Improved support for graphics temperatures.
Added /debug mode to help with bug fixing.
Lots of small stability fixes and graphics tweaks.

Speccy is currently available as a beta download, so we only recommend this for advanced users. A final release will be made available in a few weeks time.

For more information on Speccy, what it will do for you and to download visit www.piriform.com/speccy

1.) I have used Speccy some in a corporate environment. I tried it on a couple of servers (Mostly all Windows 2003 Clustered Server Nodes) with SAN attached storage, and it crashes the server while it is trying to gather disk information. That sucks too, because it has so much potential. I may be ignorant but I can't seem to find anywhere on the website to provide my feedback on the app. Has anyone else found an avenue to report bugs back to the developer?

2.) Another problem that is unrelated to this topic. For whatever reason after the forum switch on this site, I can't login to the forums via Firefox. I have to browse this site via IE to be able to post anything to the forums. I'm not sure what I need to enable to be able to use Firefox again. Any help on both topic's would be much appreciated.

Yeah they're not doing a good job linking to the forum but here

http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?s=b ... owforum=22

That'll put ya in the Speccy forum

I've not encountered any of the issues others have but that's not saying much.

as for this site, I've had weird login problems but that's all (Using ie not ff, I save ff for security testing and website development)

That happened to me twice during the switch and the server problems. Deleting the portablefreeware.com cookie fixed it.
