Adding Machine w/tape
Adding Machine w/tape
In your many travels, have you ever happened on an app that mimics a desktop adding machine and with a "tape" on screen ?? Many thanks!

I don't know if this will meet your portability requirements, but this is small, free and for multiple versions of Windows (including 95), so it probably doesn't use the registry.
Edit: Oops!
It took me a while to re-find it. The main site is in Hebrew, so it isn't easy to find a translation, but the download page is in English (a little more familiar!):

alan, is there a missing link?
@ linuxx I use TabbyCalc, older version 1.2 because I prefer the scroll list of functions better than the drop-down list in the newer versions.
I like TabbyCalc because you can also type notes in the "tape" window.
Calcute is also in the database here, but I've never tried it.

One that I used to use a few years ago was from MoffSoft, the "tape" display does look just like a printed calculator tape
I don't know how much newer versions have changed.
Just for grins, I just now upx'd and JauntePE'd my copy of MoffSoftCalc Free v 1.1 , and it's working just fine. (in its native state, it does write to registry.)

Nice find, thanks.garbanzo wrote:http://orefa.com/addup/
didn't try it but it was on a site of purportedly portable apps
Writes to the registry @
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Orefa.com\AddUp\2.0
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Orefa.com\AddUp
BTW, AddUp 2 is not free.
oops! didn't see that it's not free
