I love it. I struggled a bit with MP3TagTools, for its lack of being intuitive, and the ease of making mistakes. This one feels much better. I won't add it to my USB, as it is a sit-down-and-work type thing, so will keep a copy at each of my two computers, but Wow. Good find.

TagScanner starting from version 6.18 requires the VC-/Universal runtimes.
For systems without this runtimes: copy the runtimes from LibreOffice or Firefox (portable versions will do; pay attention to x86/x64 accordingly) and place them in the root folder of TagScanner.
This is the list of required files:

Thanks for the tip, zorro. 8)

Do you happen to know of any online source for these files? A unified package, perhaps?

To Midas and all searching for an universal runtimes package:
I didn't found a working, extractable package until now - there are several ressources on the net, but the safest way is to grab LibreOffice portable or Firefox portable and take the files bundled there. Of course this means identifying the runtime files yourself, because they are mixed up with the application files - the lists I posted earlier should help.

Thanks for the input, zorro, that's exactly the route I've been following lately...

FYI, as an alternative for getting all the current runtime files, the Visual C++ Runtimes All-in-One may also be of interest:
