3) You can enable "Video->resize window" to always resize itself to video resolution
Thank you very much for the quick update. I appreciate that. It seems to be working nicely.
However, the video-resize window has to be enabled manually after every new program launch. I would prefer this option\setting (on\off) to be saved after closing the program.
The same goes for the Loop option. Loop is always disabled after program launch, which is not my preferred option. Again, perhaps the loop mode could be saved when closing the program.

By the way the video info\file details has an OK button at the bottom. Does clicking this button actually do anything?

Anyway, thanks again.

Something I noticed. Using the Resize window option, the window is resized from the top left, I think. Depending on the video resolution, the window is all over the screen. so to speak. If not in full screen mode, having it centred on the screen is the sensible way to do it.

Also, when selecting the Resize window option while no file is loaded the window switches from default size to very, very small. Why?

App's updated

1) fit to video centers the video
2) saves "fit to video" in the INI
3) saves loop setting in the INI
4) fixed how audio level was saved in the INI
5) looks better in High DPI modes
6) video details dialog box has now a working "OK" button :)

Brilliant, thanks very much. I'll give it a go.

One thing I already noticed: The loop settings are stored in the ini file and it seems to be working fine. However after (re)launching the program the loop button'\icon always shows "Don't loop" (red cross) which doesn't necessarily correspond with the ini file, i.e. wrong button for loop song or playlist.

Update:
- Opening the program (without file loaded), the window is at the bottom of the screen instead of centred.
- Using drag and drop to open videos doesn't resize the window, it stays the same for every video. The ini setting, FitSize=1, is not applied in this case.

My ini-setting
Fullscreen=1
is not respected. The app keeps setting it back to
Fullscreen=0

I just bumped into a small problem. Resize window (adjust to video resolution) can actually make part of the program window "disappear". That's a bit awkward. :o

Perhaps resize should not go beyond the monitor size, like other players do. :)

It's getting better all the time. :)
But it's not yet perfect.

- The Resize window option still does not work after launching the program (even if it was enabled in the ini settings). It has to be disabled and then re-enabled to make it work.
- High resolution video still makes part of the program window disappear. The top is OK now, but the buttons are hidden behind the task bar. Ideally, resizing should not go beyond the top of the screen and the top of the task bar.

I'd like to make a suggestion. Like other players:
-A single mouse click somewhere on the video: play\pause.
- Double-click somewhere on the video: full-screen or back (from full-screen to previous window size).

Update, something I just noticed.
When switching from video to a audio file, the program window stays the same size (which can be big with high resolution video). Audio-only playback should be done with the default\small window size. It should automatically go back to that.

Drag and drop a folder with audio\video files and then the folder (name) is added to the playlist instead of the individual files.
Only the first file in the folder is played... :?

Thank you for all the comments!

New version 1.5 comes with fixes and improvements:
- "Resize video" fixed
- Can click and doubleclick on the video to pause and toggle fullscreen
- Dropping a folder onto the program lists all files in it
- Mouse cursor is disappearing after 5 seconds of inactivity

Thank you for the update. Unfortunately there are a few bugs with the new features.

- Double-click to toggle full-screen. Repeat this a few times and you'll notice the video\program window gets smaller and smaller., i.e. full-screen ---> default size does not work properly.
- Video plays either default size or full-screen, then double-click to switch window size results in playback being paused. Meaning, the first click of a double-click is seen as a single click (which is play\pause).
- Open from URL option. The OK button is not always highlighted\focussed (sometimes it is, sometimes not), so you can't use the Enter key to start playback.

Not a bug, but something I don't like.
Adjusting window size to video resolution works quite well now. However, at every (low, high) resolution, there are "black bars" to the left and right of the video. Could you get rid of those by adjusting the program window horizontally to the video resolution? Program window same width as video.

Even using yt-dlp this URL\file won't play, while it will in another player (also using yt-dlp). Some problem with the internal decoder?
