Came across NanaZip, which is a fork of 7-Zip: https://github.com/M2Team/NanaZip
This one appears to use a more, modern toolchain to build the GUI and has a few, additional features as well. An .exe version is not available. Can only use the Microsoft Store or the .msixbundle package to install it, so I'm posting this thread in the "Not Portable" forum for now. However, the devs are working to provide an .exe version in the future.
Supports only Windows 10 2004 and up. Haven't tested this one yet.
