fSekrit is a notepad using 256-encryption where the text and the executable are in the same file. The filesize is only 50K + the data entered.
This is useful as a password or sensitive data keeper for smaller files because you don't have to have/remember an encrypting program to go with the data. You DO, however, have to remember the password

Portability and Stealth: fSekrit is both completely portable and stealth. The data is kept in memory during file editing. A copy of the editor (not data) is made to the hard disk during editing. In earlier versions, the copy of the editor was always placed in %Temp%. In version 1.40, you have the option to have the temporary copy of the editor made to the application's directory. You do this by making a file, fsekrit.portable, in the application's directory.

So far the best encrypted notepad program I've tested on the site above Steganos LockNote, Cypditor, and CryptNote.

Having tested TrueCrypt (http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=199) extensively with other notepad software, I'd recommend that above fSekrit, but for simplicity, fSekrit has some real strengths. Hopefully the author opens the source code for the project soon.
