Note: Some antivirus and antispyware programs flag 3DP Chip as being infected/malware, although the application is perfectly safe and does not pose a threat to your system. This is called a 'false positive'. The term false positive is used when antivirus software wrongly classifies an innocuous ( inoffensive ) file as a virus. The incorrect detection may be due to heuristics or to an incorrect virus signature in a database. [Similar problems can occur with antitrojan or antispyware software.]

Can anyone confirm this ...

#2 Post by donald » Fri Jun 26, 2009 6:45 am

Can anyone confirm this false positive????

this looks a lot like spam to me

I would like to see if anyone who has been around for more than one day

and made more than one post likes this 'ware'

I would recommend anyone trying it start on a virtual machine to protect against what looks like a fake
and that the software be submitted to the anti-virus of your choice and the website vetted for authenticity
I may be paranoid but 1 post and 1 day = spam to me
and the link could be a fake
it is possible to create a link that says one thing but goes somewhere else
I don't know if that is possible on TPFC but ....

I haven't had a need for a program like this as I've been largely without a reasonably good card for a while. Still, portable users need graphics card utilities. Is this portable?
